A request for freesounder neilreynolds1980, intended as a soundtrack for the play dr faustus at the point the eponymous character is sucked into hell. A bit of technical information: the basic sound is a stacked set of ‘devil’s intervals’ (augmented fourths) with doubling at the octave, playing an instance of calf organ set to a truly horrifying demonic choir patch i created. The rest of the effects are accomplished using automation of this instrument as well as calf pulsator and calf filter in ardour. This sounds much better when downloaded than it does in the freesound player. The stereo image and sample rate are much reduced in the version you hear in the player.

The last performance at the circus ended hours ago, all the performers are fast asleep resting up for the following days schedule. . . Well except for one particular clown. I created this with my yamaha keyboard and a roland vs840 digital studio workstation back in the 90's.

Made with garageband for 30 minutes. You can use this for trailers and intros or whatever it can be. It's sort of dramatic/suspenseful. Only used my keyboard to make this.

Composed in musescore, synths added with lmms, additional sound done with audactiy. Starts out with bass drums, progresses to synths held on one note, then snares. Double bass creates rising tension. For bone-clicking sound effects, i just shook a handful of pencils. Cymbals at the end for final climax of the sound. Sound design originally for use by twoallnighters comic dub studio on youtube. A theme i composed* on cubase with edirol orchestral samples. I use some of these themes on radio dramas and readings that i put out on my radio show. I haven't used this one yet but i'll put out some more that i have and haven't used it he coming months - no need to attribute the source, just use away. *compose is an excessively generous word for my trial and error use of the piano roll function.
